As I have mentioned in the past I have tried my hand at a few different ways to earn an extra $500 or more a month even when I was working Full time.

It sounds easy doesn’t it but how realistic is it to actually make those numbers?
I can be easy but you need to be prepared to try different things not just the same old stuff everyone else is trying.
Hard work is the other key to this you can’t get anywhere unless you but in a little hard work giving up your spare time and weekends instead of watch Netflix or cable try doing something to bring in extra cash.

1.Blogging
As I am actually blogging I have to mention this as one of the top ways to earn up to and beyond an extra $1000 per month just look at what is possible from those income reports post below!

I haven’t as yet hit those dizzy heights but I have started to earn a small income nothing to write home about at the moment.
The great thing about blogging is you can totally do it on your own time. You need to remember though it’s not an instant money maker.

If you are still with me then I recommend using SITEGROUND it does cost money to start off with for hosting but you have to spend a bit nothing too dramatic up to $200 max for a yearly subscription which is cheaper than month to month will get you up and running.
2. Become a virtual Assistant- Pinterest or Facebook
There are lots of options to start making money as a Virtual assistant if you are winning on Pinterest with your own account how about you sell your skills to other blog owners wanting to drive traffic to their website using Pinterest.
Pinterest VA can charge from $35 to $50 an hour depending on how experienced they are COOL!
What about Facebook Ad’s if you master these you can help local business owners gain new clients.
If you figure out how to use Facebook Ad’s well you can easily make over $500 per month.
Some folks are earning upwards of $2000 per month from just a few hours a week.
This is a newer THING so get in on the act now. There are a few courses out there one of them is just opened a few times a year it is expensive and you have to pay a monthly fee too but if you are interested check it out here.

3. Cleaning up
Houses that is did you know that you can make money cleaning peoples houses?
I have a cleaner once a fortnight and she charges £40 ($52). Pricey isn’t it which is why I only get her once a fortnight!
The reason she is pricey is also that she is running a business with people employed by her so she has all those extra overheads.
What if you could charge a little less? If you are a one-man band you could charge around $40 per hour. If you also made it your mission to be fabulous at your job word will get around and you will have plenty of work.
It is super hard to get a decent reliable and honest cleaner and I would only go by word of mouth. I have never had one from an advert.
You can choose to supply the cleaning products or have the cleaner supply them.
I supply them as I am not on mains sewage and we have a sewage treatment tank so I have to be super careful what we add to it. If you are looking for septic tank friendly products check out some of my favourite products.
4. Babysitting
Like Cleaners Babysitters are obtained through word of mouth. If you have a referral for a good one you can bet that everyone with kids has her number.
So this is definitely one gig where you have to do well initially to get more work.
If you like working with kids then this can be a great gig you can charge up to $15 per hour.
Don’t forget having a CPR certificate will be a must.
5. Pet Sitting
Again this is like Babysitting and cleaning find a good pet sitter and they will be fully booked.
If you already have pets then it helps to know what you’re in for. There are lots of pet owners so lots of opportunities.
People will pay for you to come in for a couple of hours to feed and walk their dog each day and can charge $20 an hour.
To give you an idea if you were pet sitting for one family for say two weeks for two hours a day that’s roughly $560 so you already have your extra $500 for that month.
6. Sell your stuff
How about selling your stuff?
If you have things that you can sell like vintage clothing or anything that might get a good sale second hand then try Ebay its always a good bet.
Recently I was looking for a vintage Embroidered Christmas tablecloth and could not believe the prices that they were going for on eBay. Right enough it was coming up for Christmas.
There are other sites to try as well if you are good at making things what about Etsy for handmade goods. Amazon for books that are still in demand can sell well.
Its important with eBay and Amazon you do your research to see what is getting a good price first though no use selling things for pennies with the time you have to invest in listing and photographing your stuff.
7. Rent out a room
If you don’t mind sharing your home what about renting out a room either long term rental or if short term rental is your thing via Airb&b?
You will be getting a regular income and for a while, it can give you an added income. This is best if you have the space to rent out to someone – a granny flat would be even better because they wouldn’t be right in your house.
