5 Awesome ways to get Pinterest Viral Pins (Hint you DON’T need Pinterest Followers or Monthly Views)
Are you looking to get Traffic for your Blog? Want to know how to get Pinterest Viral pins? Today I want to show you how I have managed to get FREE traffic from one search engine – want to know what its called?
Pinterest!
And you don’t need to be female or a crafter DIY or fashion blogger.
If you aren’t using Pinterest you’re leaving traffic on the table.

It’s important to have different traffic sources so I am moving into Google traffic as well but this takes a long time.
Pinterest is great because it can drive traffic really quickly!
How did I get started on Pinterest?
First I set up my Pinterest Account as a business account and added Rich Pins.
I also started making Pins for each of my posts and now I have designed some great viral pins.
One of my best pins recently is this one:
It drove over 500 page views to my site in one day!
This is how my traffic has gone from <100 page views to over >100 page views because of my viral pin above.
One of the most important things when it comes to Pinterest is traffic back to your site – link clicks with the new Pinterest analytics set up you can easily see which Pins are directing traffic back.
What you should Forget:
- Monthly Pinterest Views
- Pinterest followers
Whilst these look great to see going up they don’t necessarily correlate to traffic back to your site.
You could have over a million Monthly views on Pinterest but really low click-throughs to your blog or website.
Pinterest Sign up Advantages:
Once you have signed up for a Pinterest Business account one of the great things that available FREE is their Analytics.
This shows you how your account is doing and also which pins are bringing in the most traffic this allows you to double down on doing the right things to help your account.
You can set up a pinning schedule using Tailwind so you don’t have to manually pin this can take the pressure off. You will still have to create and upload pins to the scheduler.
Your aim is to get your Pins in front of the right audience on a regular basis.
Where is your Pinterest Audience?

- Pinterest Group boards although their influence being reducing according to Pinterest News – tightly niched group boards and personal boards are where you want to aim.
- Pinterest Analytics lets you see where your audience interests are you can see if you are attracting the right people.
